Our first ever virtual exhibition, titled “Drift Away” was held in September and presented by the Embassy of Japan. Covid-19 prevented us from having classes or an exhibition as usual, so we decided to have a drive-by exhibition. This allowed as many students as possible to participate in large constructions with Driftwood, staying true to the Drift Away theme. There was a total of 34 arrangements at three different locations in the Ottawa area – Glebe, Alta Vista, Hunt Club – and one in Gananoque. Thanks to the Embassy of Japan, Ambassador and Mrs. Kawamura were able to visit all locations and chat with Mr. Kikuchi, Honorary Advisor Emeritus, and the teachers and the students exhibiting.
